In October 2019, Mac the Moose’s antlers grew another 24 inches and has returned the title of the Worlds Tallest Moose back to the city of Moose Jaw Saskatchewan Can. In 2015, Norway built a chrome moose that was just about 30 inches taller than Mac, making it the tallest moose in the world.

On January 30th, 2019, New Brunswick’s Moosehead Brewery donated $25,000 to help restore Mac’s record. Moosehead Brewery said it was a natural fit. At that time a GoFundMe had already been set up raising $12,000, but it was expected to take around $50,000 to modify Mac’s antlers. On October 10th, 2019, the city of Moose Jaw revelled Mac’s new antlers to the public.

Moose Jaw and Norway have agreed to cease the rivalry for this title and settle on Moose Jaw retaining the title of the tallest moose and Norway having the record of the most attractive.

I’m very happy that Mac was able to regain this title. It is a much better attention than he had during the 1990’s when Mac was atomically correct. He was always in the news when vandals coloured his moosehood orange. Mac was eventually castrated to prevent further vandalism.
