Preparing the Wort Kit

After activating the yeast you are ready to start getting your equipment ready for the wort. In this section we will look at the steps to prepare the wort.

Outline

  1. Sanitize your primary fermentation pail and lid.
  2. Sanitize around the cap on the wort bladder.
  3. Open Wort bladder and empty contents into the primary fermentation pail.
  4. Sanitize 24 inch spoon and rigorously stir wort for a couple of minutes.
  5. Pour yeast into the primary pail and place lid on the pail.  Do not snap it down.
  6. Set it aside in a dark room temperature area away from the light.
